MEDICAL COUNCIL OF MAURITIUS
This is to inform all students proceeding for medical studies that they should ensure that they satisfy the requirements of the provisions in section 22 (1) (aa) of the Medical Council Act:-
Section 22 (1) (aa)
“A person shall be entitled to be registered as a general practitioner if he –
- is a citizen of the Republic of Mauritius;
(aa) produces a certificate, or a certified copy of a certificate, stating that he has passed at one sitting any 3 subjects at Advanced (‘A’) level (or its equivalent), with a minimum of 21 points, based on the following scale (or such equivalent scale as may be approved by the Council on the recommendation of the Ministry responsible for the subject of education) –

Moreover they should also ensure that the Medical Institution where they are going to be enrolled for their studies is in the list of Medical Institutions recognized by the Council as per the provisions in the Medical Council (Medical Institutions) Regulations 2016.
